01 Who we are
FitQuest is developed and operated by Kieran Forde, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom.
FitQuest is available to download in the United Kingdom and other countries via the Apple App Store.

02 Who can use FitQuest
FitQuest is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use FitQuest. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created an account, we will delete that account and associated data.
03 What data we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your password (stored securely and encrypted by our backend provider, Supabase — we do not have access to your password in plain text)
Progress photos
If you choose to upload progress photos, these are stored securely and privately. Only you can access your own progress photos. No other user, including other FitQuest members, can view them.
Step count data
With your permission, FitQuest reads step count data from Apple HealthKit. We only access step counts — we do not request or read any other HealthKit data, such as heart rate, weight, sleep, or workout data, from your device.
Fitness data you enter yourself
You may choose to manually enter:
- Bodyweight logs
- Personal records (e.g. lift numbers)
- Exercise notes
- Workout and routine details
This data is entered voluntarily by you and is not collected automatically.
Payment information
FitQuest offers in-app subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple, via the App Store, and RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not directly collect, see, or store your card details. Apple and RevenueCat handle this in accordance with their own privacy policies.
What we do not collect
At this time, FitQuest does not use:
04 Who can access your data
We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
Your account data, progress photos, and fitness logs are stored on servers located in the United Kingdom. If you access your account from outside the UK, your data is not stored abroad as a result — it remains hosted in the UK and is simply displayed to you over the internet, in the same way any website or app would be.
RevenueCat and Apple, as our payment processors, may process subscription and payment-related data outside the UK/EU as part of their own services. This is standard practice for subscription providers, and their handling of this data is governed by their own respective privacy policies.
05 Why we collect this data
We collect and use your data solely to:
- Create and manage your FitQuest account
- Track your fitness progress — steps, bodyweight, lifts, and photos
- Provide and manage your subscription
- Improve and maintain the app
06 Data storage & security
Your data is stored using Supabase, which provides encrypted, access-controlled storage. Progress photos are stored in a private storage bucket, accessible only to the account that uploaded them, enforced through Row Level Security (RLS) at the database level.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07 Your rights & control
You can delete your account and associated data at any time through the app. When you delete your account, your data — including your account information, progress photos, and fitness logs — is removed immediately.
If you are a UK resident, you also have rights under UK GDPR, including the right to:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing

08 Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example as new features are added. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Significant changes affecting how your data is used will be communicated within the app where possible.
